  • Superhero 5k: Grab your cape and utility belts for this 5k race in Tampa! Dedicated to the charity Support 4 Caregivers, the Superhero 5k raises funds and support for the true heroes of our world: caregivers of children with special health care needs. The event is centered around the 5k race but the kids’ zone offers lots of fun for the whole family with face painting, balloon makers, and games!

  • Rhythm & Brews: Check out the beer and music festival happening at the Florida Aquarium this weekend! Sip on some craft brews with unique flavors and munch on dishes from nine delicious restaurants at Rhythm and Brews By the Bay!   • Hispanic Family Festival: This Hispanic heritage celebration promises lots of great food, games, and entertainment! The 1st Annual Libertad Hispanic Family Festival will feature performances from Aramis Sol Caribe, a Latin band, a DJ, and even special performances by Miss Latina contestants representing every country. To end the night, a movie will be shown at 7pm. Admission is totally FREE!

  • Coin & Stamp Show: This event will bring hundreds of coins, stamps, jewelry, and other high-value collectibles to the Hudson area! The Currency, Stamps, and More Show will last from 9am to 3pm and is housed in The Elks Lodge. Admission and parking is FREE, and food will be available onsite. Collectors can even register to win a 1-ounce Silver Eagle!

Pinellas County

  • Oktoberfest: Another German-style celebration is popping up in Pasco county this weekend! This time Oktoberfest is brought to you by Green Bench Brewing Co. of St. Pete. Their very first Oktoberfest event promises German-style cuisine, live entertainment, games with great prizes, commemorative stines, and plenty of beer to enjoy in the beer garden. This event runs from 12pm to 5pm this Saturday!

  • Free Family Movie: Looking for a cheap family activity? The Clearwater YMCA has you covered. Their Family Movie Night will provide you and the little ones with plenty of popcorn and a classic family film all for FREE! This month’s film is the hit Pixar movie, Monsters Inc. The Y says you are welcome to bring any pillows, blankets, and chairs you like for the movie, which starts at 6:30pm.

Sarasota/Manatee Counties

Polk County

  • POWer in Pink 5K: Go for gold at this 5K dedicated to raising funds and awareness for those affected by breast cancer! The 2022 POWer in Pink 5k takes place at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland and begins at 8am in the Tiger Town parking lot. Runners will follow a route that leads them around the parking lot, then out through the scenic trails at Lake Parker Park, and finishes back where they started. The first 200 people to finish the in-person 5k will receive a special finisher’s medal!

  • Hispanic Heritage Festival: Celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month in style this weekend! Polk County Parks and Recreation’s Hispanic Heritage Festival is fun for the entire family. Through music, art, and food, the festival aims to celebrate Hispanic culture and will host games, craft stations, and live entertainment alongside food prepared fresh by local vendors.
