Hillsborough County

  •  Tampa Bay Seafood and Music Festival: Kick back and relax this weekend at the Tampa Bay Seafood and Music Festival at Curtis Hixon Park all weekend long. Featuring great local catches, as well as options for meat-eaters and vegetarians, this festival celebrates freshly made, tasty food from Tampa as well as great live music. This event also features a marketplace with handmade goods.

  • AKC Meet the Breeds Event: The American Kennel Club will host a showcase of different dog breeds at the Tampa Convention Center this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The event is a fun interactive, and educational experience meant to inform people about the history behind each breed, their lifestyle, and how to properly look after them. The event will also have a human agility course as well as games, and plenty of photo ops.

  • EcoFest: Celebrate Mother Earth this Saturday at MOSI with EcoFest, hosted by Learning Gate Community School. Check out some of the local businesses, organizations, and individuals that promote sustainability in the Bay Area. The event is free and will go from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

  •  Zoo Brews: Zoo Tampa is bringing the fun this Saturday night as the zoo hosts ZooBrews, an event that offers a night of unlimited food and drinks, live entertainment, wildlife encounters, and access to the new Florida Wilds area! The event will go from 7:00 to 10:00 pm

  •  The Original Harlem Globetrotters: Witness a basketball event like no other as the Harlem Globetrotters come to the Yuengling Center this Sunday with their signature jaw-dropping, ankle-breaking, and gravity-defying moves. Showtime starts at 2:00, with ticket prices starting at $20.

Pasco County

  •  Charity Festival of Arts: Spend your Saturday soaking up the arts at the Gulfside Hospice Charity Festival of Arts. From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm the Land O Lakes Heritage Park will be filled to the brim with dance, vocal, and other creative talents provided by local businesses and artists as well as plenty of arts and crafts for your family to enjoy! Admission is just $5 per person over 3 years and all the profits will benefit the programs and families at Gulfside Hospice.

  • ‘Neon Turtle’ Family Fun Day: Get twisted with friends and family at Painting with a Twist this Sunday as part of their Neon Turtle family fun day class! Painting with a Twist is an instructional painting studio where you are the artist. You may bring beverages (yes, even adult ones with proper I.D.) and snacks to eat while you socialize and sketch. The class begins at 11:00 am and runs until 1:00 pm at about $30 per person. Seats are limited, so reserve spots for you and your group ASAP!

  •  Wright’s Farmers Market: Shop New Port Richey’s finest organic and handmade goods at Wright’s Natural Market. The experts at Wright’s know how to curate the freshest and best tasting local produce in the area for your perusal. The artisans at their market are sure to have something for you to love!   •  Sugar Sand Festival: If you thought your sand castle game was strong, just wait until you see the sculptures at the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival this weekend. The museum ready sculptures are the highlight of the event, but there is no shortage of lively activities and leisures going on during the festival. Amusements include a sand bar, giant sandbox, artisan markets, sand sculpting classes, and a nightly fireworks display. The largest event on Clearwater Beach ends this Sunday at 9:00 pm. Come be a part of the fun before it’s over!

  •  Toy Train Show: Model train enthusiasts will love this show in Pinellas Park. Regal Railways is a local toy train and collectible business ran by a man named Joe that has been sharing the fun of the hobby since 2006. At their Toy Train Show this weekend, fanatics and collectors are encouraged to browse through the various collectibles offered by vendors and have a great time! Admission is $5 for persons over the age of 12 at the door.

  •  Painting in the Park: Pint-size artists will have the opportunity to get hands-on with the projects at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Pete this coming Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Each of ten art stations include a craft project for your child to take home inspired by pieces at the MFA collection. Draw some chalk art on Bayshore drive, skip through a pop-up poppy field, and dig for artifacts at the archaeology dig! Upon completion of each station, your child will earn a stamp for their Painting in the Park Passport which they can turn in filled out for a prize. The best part is: this event is completely free!

  • Electric Sky Lounge: The Electric Sky Lounge at St. Pete fairgrounds will leave you both dazzled by the visuals and intrigued by the message. The stylings of Neil Mendoza’s surrealist pieces play on the relationship between the digital and physical world. The artist raises a question through the interactive exhibit, called Disruptive Devices, into our relationship with the natural world and whether or not the technology we have created is affecting it.   •  Earth Day Extravaganza: Party for the planet at the Earth Day Extravaganza presented by Southface Sarasota. The event is a part of Drive Electric Earth Day 2022, which is all about sharing information about electric vehicles. The festival will host an expansive variety of vendors, presentations, and an entire fleet of the aforementioned electric vehicles. The event runs from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm this coming Saturday and is free to attend.

  • Annual Sailor Circus: Prepare to be amazed by America’s longest running youth circus! Under the instruction of the professionals at The Circus Arts Conservatory children ages 8 to 18 learn the skills needed to succeed in life and hone some incredible talents along the way.   •  Goat Yoga: Goat yoga is the next greatest trend in athletics, and plenty of fun for the kids (and children)! Yoga is a great way to work off the hassle and muscle pains of a long week, adding in some time with cute animals brings about a stress-reliving concoction that, while seemingly unorthodox, is a lot of fun. Human kids 8 years and older are also welcome for the session coming up at Monarchs and Miracles Farm this Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, although they are not required to participate in the yoga instruction.
